Norrington

Norrington was with his own people, in their tent circle. They were opening their own Wintersend gifts, and were already wearing the tabards that had been purchased, dark green with the Inquisition symbol on them.

He spotted her coming towards them across the courtyard, the picture of dignified grace. He turned towards her approach, stepping away from the laughter of his people to greet her with a half-bow. "My lady Vivienne, Happy Wintersend."

"Happy Wintersend, my dear!"

The group's levity is infectious and brightens Vivienne's spirits even more. They all look remarkably sharp in their new tabards, which she thoroughly approves of. The holidays do allow for a certain relaxation of full formality and thus she greets Norrington with a light peck on either cheek. It is the mark of fond familiarity. "I must say, you look quite dashing, darling."

"And a happy Wintersend to you, my dear Madame Vivienne."

James bowed deeply, and his people all bowed in turn, before they stepped back politely to give their Knight Commander his privacy with his friend. He smiled at her, bowing deeply at the compliment, and giving a chaste kiss to the back of her hand.

"You're too kind." He said as he rose, green eyes warm. "We are hoping this will give us slightly warmer ... view."

Ahh Norrington, such a delightful treasure of a gentleman. Vivienne is beyond pleased with his remarkable comportment and fond wishes. He's become a dear friend and one she'd be most loathe to lose once the Circles are restored. But that is a more somber matter for another day.

"I do hope so. Skyhold is not so damp as Haven, but the chill of the mountains is quite bracing." Fortunately their fortress does not reek of wet dog as the whole of Ferelden did.

She holds in her hand a small box, which is offered out with a genuine look of affection. Vivienne waits for him to open it and inspect the ring contained within before sharing what makes it so exceptional. The ring itself has been stamped with the Inquisition sigil as a reminder of these days once they have passed into long memory.
