Commander Rutherford is another one of Vivienne's intended gift recipients which she's expecting to have to wage a little battle with. Not for the gift itself, but for the intangible gift that she intends to enforce to go with it: the gift of time off.

Realizing her chances of pulling the man away from his office are practically nil, Madame de Fer crosses the courtyard with purpose, armed with two boxes and an expression of set determination. More than one worker squeaks as she passes, worried that something frightening and magical is about to happen. They could be right.

Answer your door, Commander, and do try not to be too stubborn, if you please.

Jim, the scout that seems to be forever outside the Commander's office, would have told Vivienne that Cullen was requesting time to answer some reports that needed his immediate attention. Unfortunately, Jim has no spine when it comes to the Iron Lady, and he just as well squeaks the moment she comes up the stairs, deciding he had other things to attend to.

Cullen, on the other hand, had taken a moment away from answering reports to get up from his desk and walk around. He was near the door when the knock came, and he was possibly going to yell at Jim for ignoring his express orders.

He was, however, surprised to find Vivienne on the other side of the door. "Lady Vivienne, to what do I owe the honor?"

Poor Jim. Vivienne suspects the man might be due a scathing rebuke for abandoning his post, after receiving the fright of his life having the Iron Lady come his way. Privately she's amused at the effect she has on others. It's quite effective. If she's feeling generous later, she'll perhaps ask the commander to spare the man a little. A very little.

With a warming smile, Vivienne sails through the door, two boxes in hand. One is markedly smaller than the other. "It's Wintersend, darling," she reminds Cullen. Proof that he's been working far too much. "I have something for you."

Jim is going to get a very scathing talking to when Cullen sees him next. The Commander gets very little time throughout the day actually be by himself, and interrupting said time is an offense soldiers to not take lightly.

"Wintersend?" The confusion in his face is obvious, and then he shakes his head. "Of course it is, please." He motions her to a seat if she wants one, and he closes the door behind the both of them.

"You shouldn't have," he starts. Honestly, he hadn't remembered the holiday, he's been so overworked.
