| Tel'enfenim, da'len Irassal ma ghilas Ma garas mir renan Ara ma'athlan vhenas Ara ma'athlan vhenas | Never fear, little one, Wherever you shall go. Follow my voice-- I will call you home. I will call you home. |
| Clan Ashara currently resides in a small valley nestled into the mountains, that seems idyllic for a Dalish clan. A stream runs through the valley, descending into a waterfall with the steep cliffs on one side, and sheer mountain walls going straight up on two other sides. The only way in and out is through a gap big enough to lead several aravels through. It's a defensible position, safe from any threats. Except the fade rift that has opened up just a little ways from the gap. The hunters can handle the demons spewing from it well enough, and there are always a couple stationed there to pick off whatever appears. But it's too dangerous to lead the aravels and noncombatants through, and thus, they are forced to wait. To compound the issue, there's a village close to where they're currently staying, and while both sides have kept to themselves, neither are pleased with the current situation. They've helped get a message to the Inquisition in hopes that someone will come take care of the problem, and now both are tensely waiting for something to happen to change the situation, for better or worse. And so the members of Clan Ashara, with their friends in tow, return back to their clan. |

"Telsila'ast hala!" she chokes out with the last of it, the wide delighted grin on her face belying the words. With her arms bound by the embrace and her legs dangling above the ground, the smaller hunter makes a token effort to wriggle free, playfully kicking her captor repeatedly in the shins.

Despite his assurances, Isen eventually sets Nari down, and is even thoughtful enough to brush her off. "How is my sister? You look worldly."

She continues in the same vein until she's finally set down and brushed, whereupon all pretenses are dropped and she surges in to hug him just as tightly, cheek pushed against his chest with a small happy sigh; then steps back and hugs her arms.
"Well, for sure I've seen more of Thedas than I ever thought to," she says, the corner of her mouth quirking. "I spend a lot of my time not killing shem'len, since we're all trying to stave off the rifts together. It was strange, at first, but most everyone in the Inquisition is there to help." Her eyes brighten a bit, thinking of Korrin. "I met a Qunari! She's taller than you, fierce as anything. And Skyhold, the Inquisition's keep? It's... It's beautiful, Isen. Old. Elven. Even let alone as long as it must have been, it's sturdy. Was mostly just the wood that had to be replaced, even though the mountain winds are at it all the time. Sina and I fair took over the garden. It was mostly overgrown, some straggling elfroot, and now? Well." Nari smiled, thinking about the dappled verdant green, the rows and rows of herbs, the hanging vines. "You know how she is with plants."

"And everyone lives in relative peace," he asks dubiously, "even the shem?"
no subject
"It certainly took some getting used to. But everyone who comes to the Inquisition is a little on the odd side. It's not surprising the Inquisition shem aren't all like the ones we've had experience with." She shook her head slightly. "Enough about shem though. Tell me how the family's been doing! Any new sibs?"

"Ashara seems nice enough," he observed, "I wonder how they'd feel about a big litter of gingers converging on their eligible unbonded?" A crooked smile.

"You got here a bit ago, right? Met any reasons to legitimize their jealousy?"
no subject
"Not yet," he says, "but I've noticed our Siuona talking with their handsome First. Perhaps we'll have mage babies soon enough."
