Cyril chuckles a bit. "Alright. Intoxicated then," he replies and grins up at Sam. "Thought that could just be because I'm with you. You're rather intoxicating."

Sam gives a bark of laughter. "Yeah, definitely not drunk. You would say that even if you were sober." Among other things.

"Just because I'm a little under the influence now doesn't stop the truth that you're beautiful from being true," Cyril pointed out as if that made all of the sense in the world.

"Maybe, but it's so hard to tell if that drink did anything at all to you." What happened before was still nawing at him, but so long as Cyril seemed like he was still having a good time he could put it past him for now.

Cyril was mostly doing the same thing he always does, pretending something that bothered him doesn't bother him at all.

He sighs a bit and leans into Sam. "I think it made me feel very warm, and vulnerable."

Clearly something they shared in common, which they both were doing at the moment.

"Hm," he hums in confirmation. "I know the feeling. Why I don't really drink, and even when I do not very much." A pause. "Except that one time, and it wasn't much. Korrin had that mok-la-something her group sent. Put me right on my ass." More like knocked him out, but still.

Cyril chuckles softly. "Oh man, I would never even be able to down anything a Tal-Vashoth gave me..." Except maybe Taas, who understands his limits all too well.

Man, apparently tonight is for thinking about people he misses. Without realizing it, his hand moves to wear he wears the piece of dragon tooth under his clothes.

Sam makes a face. "I didn't even down it... I don't even think I got to half of what she gave me. And it didn't even taste that great from what I remember."

Even as he tries to remember the details about that time Sam notices Cyril grabbing at his chest. "Are you alright?" he asks with concern, coming to an abrupt stop to look at Cyril better. Considering he doesn't see the necklace to him the motion could indicate chest problems.

Cyril chuckles a bit. "Oh, yeah. I just... talking about this reminds me of Taas." He reaches for the chain and untucks the necklace. The small chunk of dragon tooth sits at the end along with the silver ring he stole from Sam so long ago.

"Ah." That's right, Cyril did have that necklace whenever he went out, Sam just had a habit of forgetting about it since it was hidden so often.

From time to time he thought of Taas as well, but it didn't weigh on him as much as it did Cyril considering his relationship with the Qunari hadn't been the same. Course seeing the tooth and his ring sitting side by side around Cyril's neck at the moment was bringing back a particular memory of the three of them, one that had Sam looking away to cover up a 'cough' and a tinge of red across his cheeks.

"I suppose it would. Now that I think about it... I haven't kept up with the sign language since."

"We should practice together," Cyril points out. "We could use it around your house."

"Hm. That's an idea. Would be good to keep in practice." He gives a small snort of laughter. "Might drive Jim crazy a little."

There's a pause before he tilts his head curiously. "My house?"

Cyril raises his brow a bit. "Your and Kirk's house?"

Sam raises a brow in return. "... You live there, too, you know."

"I do seem to have made myself home, haven't I?" Cyril teased a bit.

"Very. You do eat and sleep there, give or take, everyday with us. You've also made that room very much your own... Honestly I think you have more things in the room then I have in the house..." Besides purchasing furniture with Jim there wasn't much of his own personal stuff now that he thought about it.

Cyril seems to consider that for a moment. It was true that Sam didn't have a lot of personal things around while Cyril had packed his room with his beauty supplies, tools, and books.

"Would you like more things to call your own? I could always try to make you some things."

"Hm? Oh... um, no? Maybe?" Sam gives a soft chuckle at that, reaching up to rub the back of his neck in his usual fashion.

"I'm not complaining or anything, just kind of realized that fact after trying to make the point that you live there as much as Jim or I. I've got a lot more then I used to have, including a house, just I don't need all that much." He supposes in the back of his mind there's always the chance they'll be relocating again, and in actuality he wasn't set in settling down in Kirkwall when everything was said and done.

"You know, I used to think the same thing. Growing up on the move, you can't have a lot because everything you own you have to be able to carry. But I want to prove that I plan on staying with you for a long time, so I've taken to collecting things that interest me."

He nudges Sam gently. "So what would you like to collect?"

Sam hums lightly as he hears that. For him it was more having to leave a lot of stuff behind because of the Blight, and then he was put in the Circle which he only owned the clothes on his back and dibs on one particular bed.

Cyril's admittance has him grinning though, brow raising slightly for a different reason. "Well you're certainly proving that. Saying 'our' house would probably do so more." He'd like to hear that, considered the house all of theirs, but he'd take one step at a time.

"Collect?" Sam makes a face at that moment. "I don't... know. So far it seems like animals and people is what I've been collecting."

Cyril is just going to ignore that comment about the use of 'our.'

"Wait, that's a good point! The animals. You have them, and they need a home. That helps make it feel real doesn't it?"

You do that, Cyril.

That logic has Sam making a snort as he tries not to laugh too loudly a to not pull unneeded attention to them as they walked home. "Well technically I was already 'collecting' animals back in Skyhold when all I had was the loft." He left the chicken there, and Jim picked up a dog since then. "I'm not sure if it makes it any more real, but it is nice to have them. I don't plan on filling the house with animals though." He doesn't want to go crazy with that.

"I've already got a lot more then I ever expected having. I just don't need a whole lot of stuff."

"People and pets probably mean more anyway," Cyril points out. "And if you ever need anything else, why you can borrow it from me."

He offers Sam a bit of a goofy smile, showing that he's meaning to tease Sam more than anything.

Even though he knows Cyril is teasing, Sam still makes a face, a thoughtful one, and hums. "What pray chance would I borrow from you?"

"Books?" Cyril suggests. "I always loved getting my hands on them when I could, but I could never keep very many. Now I can have as much as I'd like - within reason."
