WHAT: James is completing his assignment for Forces, OR hey how effective is a broken bottle in a fight anyways?

It's not unlike James Norrington to be out in the training yard, working on his sword and shield work. It is, after all, what won him such acclaim at the Tourney, and he practices daily to keep up those 'world-renowned' skills up to snuff.

Today, though ... today is a different sort of day. Today, James has got the equivalent of a pile of junk before him, and is, if you can believe it, using it to attack the dummies on the far end. Right now he's got a broken wine bottle and seeing just how far he could stick it into the dummy's artery. There was a chain, some sticks, some sand ... he really was just trying out everything as a weapon. Including a frying pan.

Maker knew he was going to get on-lookers, but for as ridiculous as the scene was, he was taking it completely seriously.

He'd received a similar assignment as a couple of others in Forces, trying out all sorts of items in a fight, and while it seems fun, he's definitely using the opportunity to observe the Templar, too. Thor brings over a few things to add to the pile before offering a lime to Norrington.

"Could you take out a mage with a citrus?"

Norrington was aware that he was being ... he didn't even know what the Tevinter mage was thinking, but he did have a ready answer when Thor handed him the lime.

"Absolutely." Without missing a beat. "Do you?"

Thor blinked.

"Not typically. I have never had fruit handy in any skirmishes with qunari, and typically one wants to take out their chained mages at a greater distance than one can accurately hurl fruit. But I could try to knock down a Templar with one." He flashed a smile at Norrington that was a little wary. The certainty there was a little odd and Thor wasn't quite sure how to respond just yet.

"Well, there you have it. If you have a knife though, it is a little easier to use it more effectively." James stated simply, "But you can still smash it into their mouths effectively enough if you are willing to get that close. I ... wouldn't recommend it, though. Qunari mages are notoriously powerful."

"...I have noticed that qunari mages are powerful," he said slowly. "I am from Tevinter. And I have smashed enough limes in my own mouth that I am not entirely certain that would be... an attack."

Perhaps this Templar really didn't like limes. Or... Thor didn't know. "How would a knife make using a lime as a weapon more effective?"

"Really?" Now that surprised him. It wasn't like the Qunari had marched into Tevinter any time soon - so - "Were you on the front lines then, in Seheron?"

He quirked an eyebrow, "You have smashed an entire lime into your mouth and not had a moment of choking? That is impressive." A pause, then he took out a small blade on his belt and cut the lime in half. "If you can get close enough, you can squirt the juice of the lime in their eyes, temporarily blinding them. I have seen it done before, in an orchard outside of Wycome. They used lemons, though."
