[Open] An Honor to Serve

WHO: Ser Ingrid Kief and you!
WHAT: A new templar has arrived from the Anderfels to help where she can.
WHEN: Her arrival through Drakonis
WHERE: In and around Skyhold
NOTES: None yet

Templar Quarters

Where else does a templar belong than with her brothers and sisters in faith? She's a bit awkward, but trying to determine how many others are here, where they come from, and, of course, who happens to be in charge so she can report in to her new commanding officers.

Sparring Grounds

Daily sparring practice has been one of her chores since she was barely big enough to hold a stick and a makeshift shield. It's important to keep skills sharp, and she can be found practicing with dummies, or inviting others to spar with her.

Chapel

Faith is what sustains her abilities as a templar. Faith has pushed her through the difficult road she's had in coming here. Faith is her solace, and she can be found often in the chapel, kneeling at the feet of Andraste, reciting the Chant of Light in Ander, absently fiddling with a curious dark red pendant around her neck.

Funny, how a single word can stiffen her spine so, at least combined with the pendant she spies so much like the little flourishes on Kieran's garments. Her golden eyes narrow and she laughs, shaking her head as she folds her arm.

"I am not part of their little Circle, whatever name they might call it by. You may call me Morrigan."

Although right now there's at least some small agreement she has with the mage council regarding current events.

Honestly? Nothing very exciting, it's all an awful lot of shouting, and knowing that in the end of you want something done you save yourself a lot of time and headaches by just doing it yourself, making sure everyone knows how little help they've been and how much they've inconvenienced you the whole time.

"You have chosen a poor time to wear a symbol of the Wardens so openly. They find themselves firmly outside of the good graces of many in Skyhold due to their part in concealing an abomination in their midst." She isn't sure if this woman is a Warden herself, but the warning is hardly friendly, not when her voice stays so cold, and not when the woman hails from Weisshaupt, the Wardens that still want answers about the Fifth Blight and all three Wardens surviving.

"That is wise, though there are others with shorter tempers when it comes to the name Anders." Or certainly the reactions she'd heard via the sending crystal have been vitriolic to say the least. "I was unaware that Wardens married given their lifestyles, no matter, who do you stand with then, that has drawn you to this Inquisition."

"Not the people, but one who goes by that name. The one responsible for the destruction of Kirkwall's Chantry. He is here, harboured by the Grey Wardens as well as associates from Kirkwall, one might imagine unless he was diligent in avoiding them." Merrill is the only one she's spoken with that she can recall beyond the man himself when he went by another name but it's the Wardens that can have her ire for now.

"So the Inquisition is a concern even that far north?"

With a backward glance, she steps within, blinking as her eyes adjust to the shadows. Years of the wilds garbed as she stop her from shivering when the cold begins to sink into her skin; Skyhold can be cold enough to most with the wind howling, and this is not a room built to catch the sun.

"They are." It gives her no joy to say that. How many bloated bodies did she see during the Blight? And now how many stories come from Emprise du Lion of monsters, red and jagged, not so mindless as the Darkspawn but full of rage and cruelty. The quarries were enough to unsettle even her. "I believe some of the mages of the Inquisition are carrying out research into what afflicts the Order. Red lyrium, the same that turned Kirkwall's knight-commander to a statue though these are very much alive, very much a threat."

She is glad not to have seen them with her own eyes yet but the lyrium she shepherded Kieran from on her journey through the Hinterlands, that was more than enough.
