[Open] An Honor to Serve

WHO: Ser Ingrid Kief and you!
WHAT: A new templar has arrived from the Anderfels to help where she can.
WHEN: Her arrival through Drakonis
WHERE: In and around Skyhold
NOTES: None yet

Templar Quarters

Where else does a templar belong than with her brothers and sisters in faith? She's a bit awkward, but trying to determine how many others are here, where they come from, and, of course, who happens to be in charge so she can report in to her new commanding officers.

Sparring Grounds

Daily sparring practice has been one of her chores since she was barely big enough to hold a stick and a makeshift shield. It's important to keep skills sharp, and she can be found practicing with dummies, or inviting others to spar with her.

Chapel

Faith is what sustains her abilities as a templar. Faith has pushed her through the difficult road she's had in coming here. Faith is her solace, and she can be found often in the chapel, kneeling at the feet of Andraste, reciting the Chant of Light in Ander, absently fiddling with a curious dark red pendant around her neck.

Adelaide, admittedly, is not one for prayer. Is not one for singing the chant, for attending such services- there are more things she might do with her time than sit and sing to an empty fade. But with all that cut at her the past few weeks, all that left her unsteady, uncertain...another bulwark between her and the demons that linger when she tries to sleep is not without merit.

Not that a chapel or singing the chant repels them but such places tend to hold the lingering song of spirits of hope, of faith, of fortitude and compassion. For this Adelaide wavers in the doorway, listening. Familiar whispers sooth her mind- the chant? Surprises her. She had not thought anyone would be here at this time of day and stutters to a stop where she'd been walking, half aware. "I- apologize. I did not wish to intrude."

Belinda is usually in the chapel at first light. She's far from the only devout Andrastian in Skyhold, and she's seen familiar faces come and go as she goes through her daily prayers. In this time of darkness and uncertainty, she likes to recite verses from Trials, and she does so quietly until she hears another voice reciting in a different language. She doesn't recognize it, but she stops and listens anyway.

She waits until the woman has finished before speaking.

"Hello. I hope it's all right that I was listening? I don't know the language. Oh, Maker, I hope you understand what I'm saying now, or I've just embarrassed myself!"

The other Knight Commanders had informed him that another Templar had joined their ranks -- and all things considered they'd feel more 'comfortable' if Norrington talked to her first. He was frankly, confused, but in the Maker's name, all that. A sister had traveled to join them and he would certainly be happy to speak with her.

He knocked on the door to her quarters, hand resting on the pommel of his sword in an 'at ease' position as he waited for her to respond.

Most days find Morrigan in the gardens of Skyhold, quieter than the rest and the closest there is to a wild space even if all of it is maintained and subject to so many people passing through. She doesn't miss the Wilds, not precisely, but there are few places to go to for peace, and that's felt decidedly lacking of late.

People go to pray all the time but it's perhaps the first time she's heard singing, and it draws her to the doorway where she peers in, a book in hand, not suspicious exactly but the language is strange. And after all, she grew up close to Chasind wilders. Rather than speaking, she clears her throat, one brow arched, something of a smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"And what far-flung corner do you hail from, I wonder."

Kaidan was a frequent user of the sparring grounds, trying to hone his skills as a fighter, making him less and less reliant on magic in a bad situation. Other people practicing around about him was a frequent sight in somewhere like Skyhold. Other people that he knew? That was less usual.

"Ser..." He had to pause for a moment to remember her name, Weisshaupt seeming to be a lifetime ago. "Ser Ingrid, isn't it?" He knew her husband a little better, of course, but you couldn't see one without the other round far behind at Weisshaupt.
