Open log (intro!)
WHO: Prompto and you!
WHAT: Prompto arrives at Skyhold
WHEN: Now until before the move to Kirkwall
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: Mods are okay with him just doing his own intro, rather than a Rifter arrival log. That said, feel free to handwave your character having helped him when he first came through a Rift

[So THAT had been fun. As if falling out of a Rift and onto his butt wasn't bad enough, but then he'd been chased after by daemons and nearly killed, saved only by some sympathetic locals who luckily seemed to know how to fight.
Still rather shaken up by the whole thing, Prompto now finds himself in what they're calling Skyhold, a rather remote fortress. All he knows is that A) it's cold and B) he is so not in Eos anymore. He sticks out like a sore thumb, what with his clothes and the camera he's carrying. He often fiddles with the thing, unsure as to how he got it. It's not the camera he had back home; this thing is an old machine, where you have to develop the film by hand. Clunky, but also isn't battery charged which is good, because he hasn't seen one friggin' outlet since he arrived. In fact, he hasn't seen much of anything he's familiar with.
With a pack of camera equipment, said camera around his neck, and the clothes on his back, Prompto wanders around Skyhold, looking very lost and unsure as to what he's even supposed to do, or more importantly, how to go home.]
Um... you wouldn't happen to know how I could go back to where I was?
[Help the cinnamon roll out?]

No one does, sorry. Anyone who crosses over from a rift is more or less stuck here. We don't know how that shit works, let alone how to reverse it.
...but if it helps the news go down any easier, I can be the beer-and-answers fairy over at the tavern. The way I see it, crossing over into another world means you should at least get a free drink out of it.

Usually, travelling is sort of my thing. I have several theories, but no way to test them without possibly dying and I haven't come across any volunteers yet.

Just one Rifter this time, though. Like maybe...like maybe they were getting fewer. That might be a positive, but still! He liked Rifters. Being one means liking them better, he feels, except in special cases.
Now that all the chaos is over, save for the settling in, Church actually feels free to ask questions in return.]
Buddy. Pal. If there was a way back, like a reliable, known way back, pretty sure a lot of us would be gone. Them's the breaks.
...Can you seriously take actual pictures with that?

Well, he supposes he's about to find out now.
Nearly eighteen months since the arrival of the first Rifter and now Bruce has finally been asked to head out to the site of a new Rift along with a few other people. Even though he knows the Rifters now, Bruce doesn't quite know what to expect when he gets to the site. Mostly, he just hopes that they make it there in time.
Tightening his hold on the reins of Drakonis, Bruce nudges for the dracolisk to hurry forward. Better to reach there earlier rather than later.]

He looked up when Prompto called to him, and while he had an answer for him (it wasn't a happy one), his attention was more immediately caught by the camera around his neck. ]
Is that a camera?
[ The excitement is clear as he fixates on the piece of equipment. ]
Does it still work?

[The response comes without much thought, though obviously amused, seeing as he was finishing up drying himself off after cleaning up from the training ring. Once he's finished he does turn around, smiling as he drapes a towel around his neck. The smile drops slightly though and a brow raises when he notices the thing hanging from the stranger's neck, pausing slightly to look at it.]
