Cyril was pleased with how many had wanted to help with this party. Christine had offered to distract both Kirk and Sam. Adasse had put together some tasty potatoes. Korrin had arrived to help arrange furniture to use the space better for a crowd and had brought spiced wine and sweets. Anders had helped with decorations.
They had done well, even with the food shortage, and the house smelled inviting thanks the the work of everyone coming together.

A) He's in an elated mood, to say the least. There's a perpetual smile on his face as he mingles, sampling the food and drink and chatting up people he knows - or maybe even someone he doesn't. There's a bit of bravado to him that's not usually there. If you're a friend, he'll come up and nudge you and say hi. If he doesn't, he'll likely open up with a greeting and a question, "How do you know Jim or Sam? Or are you here for Cyril?"
B) Eventually he'll meander his way up to Sam and or Kirk, holding out his presents for them. "Happy Birthday! Or uh, name day. Whichever one you like!" He grins, hoping they his gift. Inside they'll find photographs of Jaylah and the cats, taken by Prompto and with frames made by Cyril.

Eventually, he slides over to Prompto. "I'll have you know, if anyone was here for me a lot of the men would be far more undressed."

"My name day is in the summer. In Ferventis."
no subject
"Ferventis... ahhhhh... which number month is that one?" It doesn't ring a bell to him, though he doesn't have all the month names in Thedas nailed to memory yet.
no subject
"It's the sixth month. It's during summer. It's called also called Justinian."

He might just be seeing if he can get Prompto to blush again.

He succeeds in doing that, of course, though at least he doesn't break Prompto's poor mind like he did when they first met. "Ah... think Kirk and Sam would have to handle setting that up." Insert nervous chuckle.

"You have quite an eye, Prompto," he praised, laughing at one of Jaylah and the cats being cute together, Jaylah in the middle of it all naturally, prima donna that she was.

"Something told me that sneaky thing would be in on this."
His words are warm though, clearly affectionate towards the elf and especially the gift. He set the gift aside and wrapped his arm around Prompto in a quick hug.
"Thank you, Prompto. I love it. I'm glad your camera can work here, too."
no subject
Prompto returns the hug, giving Kirk a hearty pat on the back before pulling back.
"Wish it was my digital one, but then it wouldn't work for long. So I guess, yeah, I'm lucky I have one that I can use here." So long as supplies last, which, they're just about down to zero.

"It is a bit weird that we can't make more advanced materials work here, or they just completely refuse to work when they do come here," Kirk admitted. "Though I suppose going through some sort of inter-dimensional space warp probably messes with them to a degree." He missed his communicator okay? It was his one for sure shot out of here. Well, all right, not sure, but a better chance than most, and it was a useless paperweight at the bottom of his trunk.
"You keeping unfrozen?" he asked, referring to the time they had sat together, our shoveling snow.
no subject
"Yeah, more or less!" Layers and fireplaces work wonders. "How've you been holding up?"
no subject
"Less electrical charge, perhaps?" he suggested. "More organic material? It's any number of guesses." Which was always frustrating. He didn't like that sort of thing. He liked answers.
"Oh, well enough," he shrugged. "Just taking it one day at a time, as usual. Not much else to really do here, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, no clue. Still, what I wouldn't give to just be able to be on my phone for an hour, you know?" He misses it. If nothing else, he has a few photos of his friends in there and of home. It'd be nice to look at them again.
"Besides work and getting drinks, no not really. Ugh. We need like a movie theater in this town." Never mind that it wouldn't work. "Or like a theater production. Something."

"What's this?" Looking at the package, he contemplates possibilities before finally opening it. The look he gives is a cross between pleasant surprise and slightly perplexed. They were portraits, but none that he is used to seeing. "How did-"

"They actually sat still?"
no subject
One day he'll nail a good analogy for it. One day.
"It took a lot of tries. Don't know how Cyril did it, but yeah, they did. ...eventually."
no subject
"Cyril did huh? He does have a way with them. Thank you. It's a wonderful gift."
no subject
"Totally welcome! And he's a good partner in crime. He's a wily one."
no subject
"I can see that. Found a way to trick us out of our own house to sneak you all in."
no subject
"He pulled it all together pretty fast. What did he do to keep you guys out of the house while he set up and got people here?"
